Cometic AFM gaskets consist of an aluminum core coated on both sides with a thin layer of chemically expanded, foam-like nitrile synthetic rubber. Resistant to temperatures above 122°C (250°F). AFM rubber offers 85% elasticity while maintaining excellent torque retention. No retorquing, sealant, or silicone bead is necessary.
