    Cometic AFM gaskets are made of an aluminum core with a thin layer of chemically expanded, foam-like synthetic nitrile rubber bonded to both sides. Resistant to temperatures above 122 °C (250 °F). AFM rubber offers 85% elasticity while maintaining excellent torque retention. No retightening, sealant, or silicone bead is necessary.
