Black. 3.0 ohm primary resistance, 15,000 ohm secondary resistance. 16 MHY primary inductance, 42 HY secondary inductance, capable of delivering +40,000 V output voltage from each side. Brass primary and high voltage terminals. Housing fins help cool the core.
Note: Difference between single and dual ignition:
- Dual ignition -
This is the operating system for older engines, prior to the Twin Cam. A single coil is used and both spark plugs fire simultaneously. This is the simplest system. The "wasted" spark is sometimes considered a loss of power.
